Dear Hamburg Little Loop (HLL) families,
Registration for football and cheerleading for the 2023 season is now open for returning (“veteran”) athletes, through March 19, 2023. This time period is exclusively for returning athletes who participated at HLL in 2022. On March 20, 2023, registration opens to all families. Register now to secure your player’s roster spot.
A few notable updates for 2023:
· Registration Fee is now $150 for 1st child, 2nd child is $135 + $150, 3rd child is $75 + $135 + $150, family max is $375.
· Varsity Lakers, both football & cheerleading registration is free.
· Buffalo Bills 2023 Regular Season Tickets ($120.00) and Consumer Beverages Gift Card raffle tickets ($75.00) remain the same cost as 2022.
· Volunteer Fee ($50.00) remains the same as 2022.
· Required documentation: Birth Certificates and Medical (Physical) Forms are still a requirement and can be uploaded to the online registration portal (PDF file type) as you complete the registration questions or any time before July 28, 2023. Documentation will be accepted in person by HLL board members on July 31, 2023, the first day of practice. If any or all documents are missing as of August 1, 2023, your child will not be allowed to practice until HLL has all required documents.
· Buffalo Bills 2023 Regular Season Tickets and Consumer Beverages Gift Card raffle tickets – there was high demand for additional raffle tickets last season. New for 2023, families wishing to purchase/sell additional raffle tickets beyond their required allotment can do so and keep 50% of the proceeds. All additional raffle tickets are to be paid for at time of distribution from HLL. More details to follow when tickets are available for circulation in May/June 2023.
· Volunteer Fee Refund – Parents/guardians are encouraged to sign up for and assist with various day to day tasks – complete 4 hours, volunteer fee is refunded.
Volunteering
The Board of Directors started planning for the 2023 season. Now is a great opportunity for new directors to join the HLL board. The commitment is rewarding and isn’t as time-consuming as one may believe. During the season, additional time is needed, during the off season, not as much. Directors contribute time to or oversee 2-3 committees that keeps HLL going. The Board meets once each month, for upwards of 60-120 minutes, to review the current state of the organization and discuss upcoming events. All parents/guardians are welcome to apply to become a director, but I again would like to especially encourage parents/guardians of players/cheerleaders in the Pee-Wee and Freshmen divisions. Your child/children, hopefully, will be a part of HLL through their varsity seasons. What better way than to have a voice in shaping and steering the future direction of HLL.
